City Clerk

Duties
The city clerk serves as the clerk of the city’s legislative body, preserves the legislative body’s records, and keeps an accurate record of the legislative body’s proceedings.

The clerk is responsible for the certification of current and past municipal code sections for court-related testimony. Also, the clerk keeps the city seal, administers oaths, and takes depositions, as necessary.

The clerk issues all processes of the court, affixes the seal of the court to the process and attestation of the process, and keeps an account of the fines, fees, penalties, forfeitures, judgments, executions, decrees, and orders, and collects all fees associated therewith.
