Fleet Manager

The Anderson Police Department has over 75 vehicles assigned for its use. This requires a full time fleet manager whose responsibility it is to keep all the vehicles up and running and in good condition. There are 25 marked police cruisers, 18 unmarked detective vehicles, 5 marked police package Harley Davidson motor cycles, and numerous other vehicles that tender the needs of the police department.

It is the responsibility of the fleet manager to keep track of each vehicles maintenance schedules and tire rotations, as well as ensuring that any wrecked vehicles obtain the needed repairs. The police department employees a full time civilian to attend to the many needs of the fleet of vehicles.
