Neighborhood Crime Watch

The Anderson Police Department, through its Neighborhood Crime Watch program, works to create a working relationship with the citizens which we serve at the neighborhood level.

Officers host monthly meetings in various locations throughout the city. Such meetings provide an invaluable forum by which to accomplish the following:
  • Accurately assessing the quality of life within a neighborhood
  • Creating an open dialogue and sharing of ideas between cops and citizens
  • Providing a forum by which to educate and train citizens on how to help police reduce and prevent crime in their neighborhood, thereby protecting themselves and their property
  • Tracking and reducing the crime rate within a neighborhood
